Responsible for conducting credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information for existing and prospective business customers in order to maximize credit and minimize risk and potential loss. Approves and/or denies loans within certain limits and makes credit structure and loan pricing decisions. Counsels bankers on the proper structuring of loans.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Four to five years of credit-related experience
- Thorough knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting, administration, policy and procedure
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Thorough understanding of general economic theory as it relates to the lending and business environment
- Good credit quality and risk analysis skills
- Strong PC skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective technical report writing skills
