Business Overview

Latam Local salespeople are responsible for marketing FICC products to LATAM Financial Institutions. Those institutions include banks, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, mutual funds, and family offices. Products of focus:
  • Sovereign and Corporate bonds
  • Local Markets Bonds and Interest Rates Swaps
  • Foreign Exchange and Foreign Exchange Derivatives
  • Credit Default Swaps
  • Distressed/Special Situations
  • Credit Linked Notes
  • Structured Finance

Product/Desk Overview

Sales is fully integrated with product partners across debt capital markets, rates, credit and foreign exchange to deliver seamless execution and strategic solutions to Local Institutional clients. Our Latam Local Sales effort is divided in three main regions: Brazil and Mexico, with local sales coverage on the ground, and the rest of Latam countries with coverage out of New York. Our FICC Trading partners are located in all major financials hubs: NY, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Santiago, Turkey, South Africa and Moscow. The business is also supported by research analysts and structuring professionals in these respective centers.

Analyst Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analysts are expected to execute and book transactions in all the FICC products in scope, working closely with Sales and Trading Middle Office to ensure a seamless business flow with our clients.
  • Support the desk with analysis on trades, volume, product, client value, trade ideas, among others.
  • Work side-b y -side with salespeople, traders, and research analysts, to gain a comprehensive u nderstanding of all three major fixed income groups (Rates, FX & Credit), including but not limited to: credit f u nda m entals, relative-va l u e analysis, and macro strategy. Analysts are e x pec te d to develop the ability to effectiv e ly facilitate des k -client interacti o n, to develop the anal y tical s k ills necessary for the c u ltivation of innovative trade ideas, and to u nderstand the credit and m acroeconomic environ m ent.
  • Daily responsibiliti e s include developing ti m ely trade and invest m ent ideas, sta y ing c u rrent on resea r ch and relativ e -value proposals, as well as analyzing trading flows and their implications with respect to the broader financial markets..
