Job Description

The SMA Trading Operations Analyst will report to the Head of Wealth Management ("WM") Trading. WM Trading Operations supports: Trade execution, SMA/UMA Trading & Model administration, and Trading Operations for multiple business lines within U.S. Bank.
  • The SMA Trading Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the SMA/UMA administration and trading models, as well as performing systems analysis, development, and operational tasks to improve workflow and operating efficiency of WM Trading Operations, and support across the team as required.
Support functions include:
  • Invest and rebalance all new and existing traditional separately managed accounts ("SMA") according to the most current designated 3rd party investment manager
  • Invest/divest assets and rebalance accounts as requested
  • Process corporate actions
  • Add and close SMA account.
  • Update Core and UMA portfolios
  • Accurately maintain account overlay system to ensure trade instruction accuracy including within:
    • User set up
    • SMA Model Uploads
    • Security/Model set-up
    • Updating asset allocation and reference portfolios
    • Maintaining eligible securities list as well as Do Not Buy and Do Not Sell lists.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to ten years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Considerable knowledge of SMA's or Model administration

- Ability to work well under strict timelines with a sense of urgency & effective time management skills
- Experience with FactSet, Charles River, MyVest SPS, Nexus, eTran, SEI, and EnvestNets
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
